Be a part of Ballarat Heritage Festival 2025! 

Ballarat Heritage Festival 2025 will be held on 16 – 25 May, and we are looking for local businesses to be involved!  The theme of the 2025 festival is Entertainment, and we are looking for businesses to help us create a city-wide celebration of the history of entertainment in Ballarat by offering unique experiences, products, or promotions that showcase this theme. Whether your business would like to contribute to the 2025 program by hosting a heritage festival themed event, create a themed menu item or offer attendees discounts on products or services, we encourage your business to be involved!

How can you get involved?
Participation is open to a variety of sectors, including accommodation, hospitality, retail and attractions. Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to attract festival-goers and locals by aligning with the Ballarat Heritage Festival. You can participate in the festival one of three ways:

Option 1: THEMED PRODUCT 
Create a themed menu item, product or package inspired by Ballarat’s entertainment history. For example:

  • A special cocktail inspired by Ballarat’s entertainment history 
  • Offer Heritage inspired ‘specials’ to compliment your menu

To express your interest in creating a themed product inspired by Ballarat’s entertainment history, complete this form: Themed Product

Option 2: PROMO OFFER BHF2025!
Be part of our Ballarat Heritage Festival promotion – BHF2025! Offer guests a special deal on certain products or services to encourage bookings and overnight stays during the festival by using the promo code: BHF2025! For example:

  • Complimentary entree or dessert with dinner bookings.
  • Complimentary room upgrade for bookings of two or more nights (or free a breakfast)
  • Two for one special offers

Option 3:  HOST A HERITAGE FESTIVAL EVENT
Host a dedicated Heritage Festival event, experience or entertainment in your venue. For example: 

  • A themed dinner experience
  • Live music or performances 

We welcome creative ideas that celebrate the festival’s theme while showcasing your business to a broad new audience!

Benefits of Participation

  • Expand your customer base: Tap into a new audience of customers. Including visitors and locals. 
  • Online presence: Your business will feature on the official Heritage Festival website as part of the online program and may be promoted through the festival’s marketing channels.
  • Community involvement: Be part of a major city-wide event that celebrates Ballarat’s unique heritage and culture. 

Submission Process 

  • Submission due dates:
    • Option 1: THEMED PRODUCT – Submissions close 01 February 2025
    • Option 2: PROMO OFFER BHF2025! – Submissions close 01 February 2025 
    • Option 3: HOST A HERITAGE FESTIVAL EVENT – Submissions close 29 November 2024 
  • Submit your application by the due dates listed above. 
  • All applicants will be contacted by the City of Ballarat Events Team approximately 3-4 weeks after the submission due date.
