Be entertained by the magic this Ballarat Heritage Festival, as The Little Brass Band bring your music favourites to life, with their wonderful arrangements for Brass Quintet.

The Little Brass Band an award-winning Goldfields Region Brass Quintet present a range of Music Styles from Traditional Jazz, Swing, Classical and ‘Everything’ in between, with their own unique twist!

The music of The Little Brass Band is based around the five-part harmonies and melodies of the vocal lines within a choir. The Little Brass Band utilize various combinations of instruments to create the sound effects and timbres to suit the music. Musicians: Frank Dyer – Trumpet and Piccolo Trumpet. Claire O’Brien – Trumpet and Flugel horn. Janice Lynn – French horn. Cassandra Hiscock – Trombone. Matthew Pankhurst – Tuba. The Flugel horn and Piccolo have been added in the line-up to give variation to the sound landscape and provides a rich tapestry of colour.

Performances include: Commonwealth Games opening ceremony, Arts in the Park, Begonia Festival, ABC live morning show, Ballarat Carols by Candlelight, Buninyong Carols by Candlelight, Castlemaine Jazz Festival, Prize winners in the Australian National Busking Championships 2017 & 2018, Highest placed Brass Quintet in the Australian National Band Championship Melbourne 2018.
