Self-guided Walking Tour: Jigs Jollies and Jamborees

Access info

Jigs, Jollies and Jamborees is a lively leap through Ballarat’s glittering after-dark past. This self-guided heritage walk waltzes past eight sensational stops where the city once sang, danced, dazzled—and occasionally burned down.

Gaze up at the grand Regent Theatre, imagine the ovations at Her Majesty’s, and picture the swirling gowns at the Ballarat Mechanics Institute. Stroll by Suttons and hear echoes of music in the breeze, marvel at the ghost of the mighty Alfred Hall, and stand where the fiery finale of the Coliseum unfolded. From ballroom dreams to smoky memories – let your imagination bring Ballarat’s nightlife back to life!
