SCULPT A TEXTURED SILVER BAND WITH ALANA SMITH

Sculpt your own textured band! A hands on class working with wax to create your very own ring design!

Alana Smith of Cut Off Your Hands Jewellery will take you through the steps of ring-making using the lost wax method. 

Over this 3-hour course you will learn about the Lost wax method and use the tools provided to sculpt a ring out of wax. Alana will show you different types of wax you can work with and how to create unique textures by either removing or adding wax to your design.

At the end of the night you will have a ring ready to cast in sterling silver! You will be able to create a piece that weighs up to 1.5g in wax which will result in approx 17 grams of sterling silver!

Alana will have the rings cast and finish them to your desired look in the same way she finishes all Cut Off Your Hands jewellery! You will be able to pick it up 3 weeks later or have it posted out (this will incur an extra cost)

What to bring: Just yourself and some pen and paper if you want to take notes (some notes will be provided covering a list of suggested tools and suppliers you can purchase if you decide to continue teaching yourself at home!)
