STUMPWORK EMBROIDERY WITH ALISON COLE

Access info

Start a Stumpwork Embroidered Flower with Alison Cole.

This is a fun three-hour workshop to create a Stumpwork embroidered flower that is mounted on a size-adjustable ring.

The rings are embroidered in silk on a cotton base. You will be working from a kit that will contain all fabrics, threads, wires, needles, ring, instructions, photo, and a hoop to work on. You may choose to create a Dark Purple Pansy, Red Poppy, Mauve Pansy, Red Pansy, or a Yellow Buttercup.

The Poppy is finished with Madeira metallic thread and a Swarovski crystal, the Red Pansy has a brass bead in the centre – all of which are included in the kit.

Participants are not expected to complete the project in class, but will learn all techniques required to complete the project at home.

Participants are asked to bring the following to the workshop:

Scissors

Magnifier if you usually use one.
