Over, Under With Ana Petidis

Explore and practice the theory of weaving patterns with studio weaver and textile designer Ana Petidis.

Workshop participants are invited to simulate recognisable weave structures traditionally woven on multishift looms. Expect to create a set of colourful samples of well-known structures such as plain, basket, twill, herringbone, houndstooth and rose-path. Participants will be introduced to the ‘grid’ or weaver’s draft, a binary code to create patterns (and the pre-curser to computer code technology).

This is for weavers with some experience who wish to extend their skills.
