Aunty Jacks Heritage Beer Paddle: The Stories Behind the Styles

Access info

Beer has been part of Ballarat's story since the gold rush, from the rough and ready ales poured in miners' tents to the refined brews served in grand hotels.

During the Ballarat Heritage Festival, Aunty Jacks invites you to explore a tasting paddle that celebrates the history behind the different beer styles.

This is a dive into the origins of the styles that shaped brewing across the world and found their way into Ballarat's own beer culture.

Each beer on the paddle is paired with a short story about where the style came from, how it evolved and why it still matters today.

Sip, learn, and enjoy a taste of brewing history, Aunty Jacks style.
